Modřanský cukrovar is going to be a unique place to live, bringing an innovative concept of blue-green infrastructure to the Czech Republic. Městská čtvrť, kde všemi směry proudí život, nahrazuje starý nevyužívaný brownfield po bývalém Modřanském cukrovaru. Dominantou celé čtvrti je prostorné náměstí osázené platany, lemované bistry, obchůdky a kavárnami. K životu ho budí čilý ruch místních, kteří se přes osvěžující opar vodních trysek dostávají do přilehlého parku, a potom dál, k řece.
The urban district, where life is flowing in all directions, replaces the old unused brownfield after the former Modřany sugar factory. A spacious square planted with trees, lined with bistros, shops and cafés, dominates the whole district. It is animated by the bustling activity of the locals, who make their way through the refreshing haze of water jets to the near park or Vltava river.
